Min. 5-24-01.</p> <ol class="upperalpha"> <li><strong>Execution of Housing Agreements</strong> -- All terms and conditions of housing agreements and housing rules shall be approved by the Chancellor following review by the General Counsel. All agreements between the University and students for student housing or between the University and faculty for faculty housing shall be executed on behalf of The Curators of the University of èßäapp by affixing thereto the facsimile signature of the campus senior housing officer, and that any agreement for faculty and student housing so executed shall be binding upon The Curators of the University of èßäapp.</li> <li><strong>University Inspection of Student Group Housing</strong> -- Recognition or continued recognition by the University of any organized student group which controls its own premises shall carry with it as a condition of such recognition the right of proper University officials to enter onto the premises of the organization for the purpose of inspection which may be incident to or required for reasonably safeguarding the health and welfare of the students using and occupying the premises and for the enforcement of University regulations; and University recognition may be withdrawn from any such organization upon its refusal to permit such inspection; and all such recognized student groups shall be given notice of this regulation. Min. 10-19-00.</p> <ol class="upperalpha"> <li>The adoption and the administration of student housing policies, rules and procedures is delegated to the Chancellor of each campus subject to review and approval by the President and review and approval as to legal form by the Office of the General Counsel. The following general principles shall guide the adoption and administration of those policies.<br> <ol class="numeric"> <li>Administration of student housing policy, rules and procedures shall be designed and executed to enhance the educational mission of the University of èßäapp and to contribute to the intellectual growth and social development of the individual student residing therein.</li> <li>The campus rules governing student housing shall be compatible with the general rules of student conduct of the University of èßäapp.</li> <li>All practices must conform to all applicable laws, including constitutionally, required procedural safeguards, if any, and University rules and regulations.</li> <li>The campus rules governing student housing must be placed in writing and disseminated or otherwise made available to all students to whom they apply.</li> </ol> </li> <li>Housing policies, rules and procedures regarding student behavior in University-owned and operated housing shall include:<br> <ol class="numeric"> <li>A designation of the housing (type of facility) in which they apply.</li> <li>The expected behavior or prohibited behavior of residents.</li> <li>The procedures to be used to enforce those behavioral expectations, including written notice of the specific allegations and an opportunity to present the student's side prior to a determination and imposition of any sanction.</li> <li>The permissible sanctions for violations of the housing policies or rules.</li> <li>Consideration for public health and safety.</li> </ol> </li> </ol> </div> Thu, 27 May 2010 17:57:42 +0000 kuscheld 7534 at
