Show Me Shop Suppliers

The University of èapp establishes contracts with different suppliers to provide specific items at discounted prices and makes many of these contracts available in the eProcurement Show-Me Shop. Contracts, also referred to as catalogs, are classified as either Hosted or Punchout (Definitions below). With both types of catalogs, the price you see is what you pay for the item. A single Show-Me Shop shopping cart can include multiple items from multiple catalog suppliers (hosted, or punchout, or a combination of items from both types of catalogs).

Hosted Catalog Definition

A hosted catalog is an online version of the supplier's items included in the University contract. Hosted catalogs contain item descriptions, part numbers and pricing information. Some items even include images with the click of a mouse. The shopping experience with hosted catalogs has a consistent look and feel regardless of the supplier you're shopping with - searching is the same, carts look the same, and overall functionality is the same across suppliers.

When using the Show-Me Shop search features, all hosted catalog items are searched, so retrieved results could include items from multiple suppliers. Item comparisons can be performed side-by-side between suppliers. Additionally, items in hosted catalogs can be saved as favorites in the Show-Me Shop to be retrieved and ordered again later.

Prices in hosted catalogs are relatively stable. Suppliers submit price files to the University at different intervals (i.e. quarterly, annually) when prices are updated, items are discontinued or new items are added, etc.

Punchout Catalog Definition

A punchout catalog is an integrated external link to the supplier's web page created specifically for the University of èapp. The items reflect University discounted prices; however, the items and pricing may change more frequently than a hosted catalog. A punchout catalog allows you to configure certain items (i.e. computers) with the features you want, while updating the University's discounted cost as changes are made.

The search features are supplier specific, so if you are familiar with a supplier's website, the punchout catalog functions very much the same. The cart functionality, adding items, editing a cart, managing favorites, and returning the punchout cart to the Show-Me Shop are unique to each punchout catalog supplier's site.

You are not able to compare prices among punchout suppliers or hosted catalogs, but many punchout catalog suppliers allow you to compare items within their own site.

When you complete your shopping with a punchout catalog supplier, you return the cart, which inserts the items into the Show-Me Shop shopping cart that is ultimately returned to the PeopleSoft requisition being created.

  • SHIP TO: It is extremely important that the requester use the appropriate Ship To code for where the tank should be delivered. Airgas creates customer accounts based ship to codes. Correct code usage is important for timely deliveries, as well as credit for returned empties. Please do not use an office or dock location unless the gas is to be left there by the Airgas delivery person.
  • DELIVERY: Requisitions should be approved in PeopleSoft by 12 pm (noon) for next day delivery. POs must be received by 2 pm. Note: MS&T campus only receives deliveries on Mondays, unless it is an emergency. MS&T campus will need to have orders placed by noon on Friday to have delivered on Monday.
  • CALL FOR PRICING: When selecting some items, the punchout may display "Call for Pricing". Click on the product number and then Add to Cart

Description of Products:  Janitorial Supplies and small dollar janitorial equipment, related support and assistance in required training, equipment repair services and paid cleaning consultation services.

Normal training, product usage and application support is included free of charge for all campuses. More detailed cleaning consultation service called the CAP program can be purchased at a cost per square foot. Speak with you local Hillyard representative about this detailed consultation service. The cost per square foot is based on number of square feet and that cost drops after year one since year one is the most labor and data intensive. Users can also cease this consulting service after the initial period. Payment for this specialized service/training program should be paid for via Show-Me Shop by ordering the appropriate number of square feet of CAP service.

Equipment repair services process as-follows: Hillyard will provide a detailed quote at no charge for any equipment repair. Quote will include a parts list with prices and a separate labor fee. If a user wishes to have the repair performed by Hillyard, they can use Show_Me Shop to order labor costs billed in: 15 minute increments. They will also order the parts based on their dollar value. For example: if there are new parts required and they will cost a total of $200.59 our users should order 200.59 each repair part units valued at $1.00 each. In that way, the resulting Purchase Order will have a line item for labor and a line item for parts and the Purchase Order total will exactly match the repair cost provided by Hillyard. The detailed list of parts will not show on the Purchase Order but will be provided in advance on the initial quote and on the final repair paperwork so users will have detailed equipment repair documentation broken down by parts and labor.

Beginning June 1st, 2018 the Show Me Shop punchout for WWT will move to an all quote based format.  After requesting a quote from your WWT sales representative, your quote will be uploaded to the punchout site where you can search by quote number, requester name, etc.  You can open each specific quote in order to view a detailed line by line breakdown.  When you are ready, you can then transfer your quote to your requisition to populate the lines.  The attached "Pivot Button/Icon Descriptions by Page" document explains the process as well as how to search and view your individual quotes.

 

 


*SmartFind is a shopping feature that allows you to search for punchout supplier items directly in the Show-Me Shop (SMS) environment.

When you perform a Product Level Search ("Shop Everything" at the top of the SMS home page) your search may return items from both hosted and punchout suppliers. Hosted items will show a quantity field and the Add to Cart button at the right. Punchout items will display an Order from Supplier link at the right. Please note that punchout supplier matches are determined by a proxy catalog maintained by each supplier, and every item they offer will not necessarily be listed in the proxy catalog.

There are two types of Level II search: store level and item level. The Store level Order from Supplier link will take you to the supplier's punchout site, where you will need to repeat the search for the item and add it to your cart. The Item level Order from Supplier link will take you to the supplier's punchout site and to that item, where you may add it to your cart.

Not all of our Show-Me Shop suppliers support the SmartFind Level II feature, though as additional suppliers adopt it they will be enabled in Show-Me Shop.
