Discounts on vision products and services are offered by the University's vision insurance administrator, even to those who are not enrolled in the èßäappSystem Vision Insurance Plan. In addition, separate vision benefit programs are available through University Optical at the University of èßäapp-Columbia and through the University of èßäapp-St. Louis College of Optometry.

Mizzou Optical and Mizzou Optical East¡ªboth at the University of èßäapp-Columbia¡ªoffer discounts to university employees, retirees and their immediate families when no insurance plans are used. Features include:
- 25% discount on glasses (frames and lenses)
- 15% discount on contact lenses
